MLS Experience
2013: Became the first Homegrown Player signing in club history after signing on January 11 following two seasons at Akron. Became the starter at right back, leading the team with 2,710 minutes and ranking second with 31 appearances. Finalist of MLS Rookie of the Year. Tallied a goal and an assist in 3-2 loss at POR (11/7) in second leg of Western Conference Semifinals. Named 2013 MLS All-Star by Commissioner Don Garber, becoming the first rookie All-Star since 2005 (Michael Parkhurst). Scored lone MLS goal of season in 1-1 draw vs. COL (7/11) on a rebound header won MLS Goal of the Week for week 21. Recorded first MLS point with assist in 2-1 loss at RSL (3/30), becoming the youngest player to record an assist for Sounders FC. Scored first Sounders FC goal in second leg of CCL quarterfinals vs. TIG (3/12), a 30-yard blast that sparked Seattle’s 3-1 comeback victory, making him the youngest player to score in club history (all competitions). Assisted Lamar Neagle’s goal in 2-0 win vs. RSL (9/13). Made professional debut with start in season opener vs. MTL (3/2), becoming the second youngest player to make an appearance for Sounders FC, and was named to MLSSoccer.com Team of the Week. Led Sounders FC with 37 appearances, 35 starts, and 3,124 minutes across all competitions.
International Experience
2013: Became first current Sounders FC player to participate in a World Cup when he represented the U.S. at the U-20 World Cup in Turkey, starting against Spain (6/21), France (6/24), and Ghana (6/27).
College
2012: All-MAC First Team honoree for the second straight year at Akron. Rated the No. 35 upperclassman in the nation, according to Top Drawer Soccer. Appeared in all 22 games, making 21 starts at right back. Finished third on the team with six assists. Assisted on a pair of game-winning goals against Florida Atlantic (10/5) and Michigan (10/16). Recorded four assists during a five-match stretch from 9/29 to 10/16.
2011: College Soccer News Freshman All-American. Rated the No. 10 freshman in the country by Top Drawer Soccer. All-MAC First Team honoree. Appeared in all 23 games, including 20 starts. Started the first 16 matches at right back. Assisted on four game-winning goals and finished with six helpers overall. Assisted on decisive strikes against Cal State Northridge (9/3), Tulsa (9/24), Bowling Green (10/26) and Florida Atlantic (11/6). Netted his first career goal in a win against Ohio State (9/28).

Ranked seventh in the nation among all 2011 recruits by Top Drawer Soccer. Ranked 12th by College Soccer News. NSCAA Boys Youth All-American. Invited to the U.S. Soccer U-18 Men's National Training Camp and the 2010 SuperElite International Showcase. Named to USSDA 93 Academy Select Team in 2009 and 2010. ODP state team starter from 2006-2009. National U14 ID camp in 2006. National Super Y Team invitee in 2007 and 2008. Starter on the Sounders FC Academy team.
Personal: Raised by his guardians Ira Yedlin and Vicki Walton. His uncle, Dylan Walton-Yedlin, was a two-time All-American in football at Union College in Schenectady, N.Y. Enjoys cooking, traveling and hiking. Attended O’Dea High School in Seattle.
