Coaches Eligibility Criteria (All Eras)
- Must be retired from active coaching for three years, but with a caveat: a waiver clause for elite coaches that qualify through winning four or more major trophies.^ Those individuals are immediately ballot-eligible upon retirement.
- Served as Head Coach or Assistant Coach of Seattle Sounders FC for at least 150 matches (all competitions).
- Must have guided Sounders FC to at least two major trophies.^
- Was a positive brand ambassador for the sport of soccer in the State of Washington and made an impact in the greater Puget Sound community.
- Deceased coaches are eligible for posthumous induction and are not subject to the three-year retirement requirement.
^In the modern era, at least two of the following are required: MLS Cup, Supporters’ Shield, Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, Concacaf Champions Cup, Leagues Cup, FIFA Club World Cup.
