The latest evidence comes from the folks at VICE Sports, who followed Carey around ahead of the Sounders’ matchup against the Portland Timbers on August 30. Carey mingled with fans before the game and then presented U.S Women’s National Team stars Megan Rapinoe and Hope Solo with honorary golden scarves before settling in to watch the Sounders top their Cascadia rivals in front of more than 64,000 fans.
