U.S. Soccer has selected Dick’s Sporting Goods park in Commerce City, Colo., to host the 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifying match between the United States and Trinidad and Tobago on June 8 (4:50 p.m. PT; FS1, Univision).
The U.S. sit in fourth place in CONCACAF’s Hexagonal with four points from four matches, while T&T sit in last with three points. Seattle Sounders Clint Dempsey (U.S.), Jordan Morris (U.S.) and Joevin Jones (T&T) will all likely participate.
"In a World Cup Qualifying campaign, winning games at home is critical," said U.S. head coach Bruce Arena. "In all ways, Colorado provides a great environment for our team. We are at an important stage of the campaign, and we look forward to the great support."
DSG Park hosted the famous Snowclasico match against Costa Rica in 2013, one which Dempsey scored the game’s lone goal in a 1-0 win. The U.S. is 4-1-0 in the state of Colorado since 1991.
After June 8, the U.S. will then travel to Estadio Azteca for a tough away fixture with Mexico on June 11, while T&T will visit Costa Rica on June 13.
