Following the club's 3-2 win over Minnesota United on Saturday afternoon, Seattle Sounders midfielder Albert Rusnák and defender Jackson Ragen were named to Major League Soccer’s Team of the Matchday for Matchday 29.
Ragen earned a spot on the bench after scoring a wonderful headed goal off a cross from Rusnák in the 28th minute, regaining the lead for the Rave Green just four minutes after the Loons tied it up.
Rusnák’s assist to Ragen, along with his game-winning goal in the 75th minute, resulted in a well-deserved starting spot for TOTM. The Slovak international’s rocketed shot from distance flew inti the bottom left corner of the goal, securing the lead once again for the Sounders and three points on the road. This marked Rusnák’s 12th assist, and fifth goal of the season, respectively.
The Sounders return to action on Aug. 28 as they host LAFC in the U.S. Open Cup Semifinals at Starfire. (7:30 p.m. PT; Watch FREE on Apple TV, 950 KJR AM | TICKETS).
