Following the team’s 3-1 win over Minnesota United at Lumen Field on Saturday evening, Seattle Sounders midfielder Albert Rusnák was named to the MLS Team of the Matchday bench for Matchday 28.
His selection comes after providing assists for two of the three goals for the Rave Green.
In the 16th minute, Albert Rusnák played a perfectly weighted through ball over the top of the Loons’ defense and to Jordan Morris. From there, the striker one-timed a difficult half-volley across his body to the far post to give the Rave Green the opening lead.
Then, in the 83rd minute, Rusnák played a beautiful pass from the the top of the box and into the path of Arriola, who blasted a shot into the top, near-post corner of the net.
In the Sounders last three matches, the Slovak international has collected a goal and four assists, serving as a significant contributor to their latest results.
The team returns to action on Thursday when they host Sporting Kansas City at Lumen Field (6:30 p.m. PT; Apple TV).
