May 9 | Magnus Wolff Eikrem’s fancy footwork sets up Will Bruin’s goal at Toronto FC
In what was our No. 1 assist of the year, Magnus Wolff Eikrem deftly beat two Toronto FC defenders and set up Will Bruin on a quick counterattack goal to give the Sounders the lead at BMO Field. Wolff touched the ball past Michael Bradley before nutmegging Marky Delgado and playing an inch-perfect pass to Bruin, who hammered home with his left foot.
The Sounders won 2-1 and got some revenge on TFC after falling in a rematch of MLS Cup five months prior.
