Ahead of the launch of FIFA 22 on October 1, EA Sports unveiled the top players in Major League Soccer across various categories. It should come as no surprise that a host of Seattle Sounders players cracked the top ten in numerous positional and statistical lists.
Sounders FC Player Notes
- Two Sounders, Nicolás Lodeiro (80) and Raúl Ruidíaz (79) made their way into the top ten for all players in the league. Seattle is tied with Inter Miami (Gonzalo Higuaín and Blaise Matuidi) for most players in the top ten.
- Stefan Frei (74) is tied for third-highest rating among goalkeepers, trailing only Andre Blake (76) and Matt Turner (75).
- For the second consecutive season Yeimar (76) the highest-rated defender in Major League Soccer.
- Lodeiro (80) is tied with Toronto FC's Alejandro Pozuelo for highest overall score among MLS midfielders.
- Ruidiaz (79) is the fifth-highest rated attacking player, with his overall score jumping three points from FIFA 21.
- In the player attributes categories, Yeimar (86) and Nouhou (74) each secured spots in the top ten for physical ratings at No. 2 and No. 7, respectively.
