Aug. 4 | Will Bruin’s stoppage-time chip sends Sounders past Minnesota United in dramatic fashion
After trailing 1-0 on the road since the 19th minute, Will Bruin capped an unbelievable comeback seven minutes into stoppage time to send the Sounders to a miraculous 2-1 away win over Minnesota United. Nicolás Lodeiro equalized from the penalty spot in the first minute of stoppage time before a flick header from RaĂşl RuidĂaz sprung Bruin loose for the game-winner, one that Head Coach Brian Schmetzer certainly would have also scored.
The win was Seattle’s fourth of an eventual MLS-record nine-match winning streak. Bruin finished the campaign with seven goals and five assists.
