After a scoreless 84 minutes at Avaya Stadium in April, Nicolás Lodeiro put the Seattle Sounders ahead of the San Jose Earthquakes on a beautiful left-footed volley from the top of the 18-yard-box.
Clint Dempsey’s free kick was blocked by the Earthquakes’ wall, but it fell right to Lodeiro, who made no mistake with his clinical finish. It was a stroke of magic from the Uruguayan playmaker and helped the Sounders earn a road draw.
