SEATTLE, WASH. – Tacoma Defiance defender Denso Ulysse has been called into the Haitian U-23 National Team for the first round of its CONCACAF Olympic Qualifiers. Haiti will take on Grenada on Friday, July 26 and Cayman Islands on Sunday, July 28. Ulysse is set to be with Haiti on international duty from July 26-29.
Ulysse, 20, has appeared in 13 games for Tacoma Defiance this season, making 10 starts. He has recorded two shots, including one on goal, in 975 minutes. Ulysse was named to the USL All-League Second Team and the USL 20 Under 20 List at the conclusion of the 2018 regular season. He led the club with 28 starts and 2,466 USL minutes played in 2018, and started every game in which he appeared.
Following a 4-1 win over Las Vegas Lights FC on Wednesday, Tacoma Defiance next plays host to OKC Energy FC on Saturday, July 27 (7:00 p.m. / ESPN+). The club then takes on Orange County SC in Tacoma on Friday, August 9 (7:00 p.m. / ESPN+).
