On Wednesday, midfielder Nicolás Lodeiro spent his off day at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center in Renton, where he visited the Seattle Seahawks practice. It looked like pretty much the best day ever, with photos courtesy of Seahawks team photographer Rod Mar.
He met Seahawks Head Coach Pete Carroll, the lovable and energetic leader of the 2014 Super Bowl champion.
He also did some kicking drills with kicker Blair Walsh, who visited the Sounders for a match in August. Stefan Frei would be impressed, Nico!
A leader on the pitch for the Rave Green and the fill-in captain when Osvaldo Alonso is unavailable, Nico joined the Seahawks quarterbacks for a huddle, too. Hi Russell!
Just like the Sounders, the Seahawks are a brotherhood. And on this day, the Hawks sent off Lodeiro as if he were one of their own. Check out this hype video by the Seahawks, wishing the Sounders good luck and featuring plenty of Nico!
You know what it takes to capture the Cup. Now, it's time to keep it in its rightful place. Good luck, @SoundersFC! 🏆 #DefendOurCuppic.twitter.com/I3BxlIhOj6
