The Seattle Sounders were named the No. 3 team in MLSsoccer.com's Week 6 Power Rankings on Tuesday on the back of a strong run of form in Concacaf Champions League play.
As one of two MLS sides still standing in the continental tournament, the Rave Green's match against FC Cincinnati originally scheduled for April 9 was moved to September 27. Despite not playing this weekend, the Sounders were named one of the top teams in the league. After a slow start to the 2022 campaign, Seattle is now unbeaten in their last five matches across all competitions.

"Every now and then we need a reminder that no one in the league has a higher top speed than Seattle and the Sounders come out and deliver one of the more impressive performances in MLS history," MLSsoccer.com's J. Sam Jones wrote on Seattle's Leg One win over New York City FC. "I’m not sure I can remember a team showing the quality they showed against NYCFC in the Concacaf Champions League semifinals. They were missing two starters on the backline and it didn’t matter. They bullied the reigning MLS Cup champs in the biggest game of the year so far and displayed a speed of thought and a conviction and a technical ability that few if any MLS teams could match on their very best day."
The Sounders will face off against NYCFC (6:00 p.m. PT; FS1, TUDN, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360AM) on Wednesday in the second leg the CCL Semifinals before hosting DeAndre Yedlin and Inter Miami CF (7:00 p.m. PT; FS1, FOX Sports Deportes, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360AM | TICKETS) at Lumen Field on Saturday.
