Sounders FC 2 Midfielder Francisco Narbon Undergoes Successful Surgery

SEATTLE, WASH. – Following an injury suffered in Thursday night’s match in Tacoma versus Swope Park Rangers, S2 midfielder Francisco Narbón underwent surgery at Virginia Mason Medical Center in downtown Seattle on Friday evening to repair fractures to his right tibia and fibula. The procedure was performed by Dr. David J. Belfie of Virginia Mason Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.


Narbon, 23, is in his second season with S2 and has made 11 appearances with the club in 2018, including 10 starts. He has played 35 games over the last two seasons for S2 and recorded one goal and one assist. A native of Panama City, Narbon has made two appearances for Panama’s national team.


S2 is 3-10-2 this season and returns to action tomorrow, July 8, against Reno 1868 FC at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. PT, with the match being streamed live on ESPN+.
