Seattle Sounders FC 2 (4-5-2, 14 points) drew Sacramento Republic FC 2-2 on Sunday afternoon at Starfire Stadium. A pair of goal-scoring headers from Brian Nana-Sinkam and David Olsen gave S2 a 2-1 lead in the second half, but Sacramento's Dan Trickett-Smith netted the equalizer in the third minute of second-half stoppage time. After today's point, S2 currently sits in a three-way tie for fourth place in the Western Conference. Ezra Hendrickson's club is set to host LA Galaxy II at Starfire Stadium next Saturday evening (7:00 p.m. PT / Live-Streamed on SoundersFC.com).

After a scoreless first half, Sacramento Republic nearly broke through in the 50th minute, but Tyler Miller made an onrushing one-on-one save on Tyler Blackwood. Eight minutes later, the visiting side opened the scoring with a goal by Trevin Caesar. Republic FC's Danny Barrera found Caesar streaking into the area, where the forward chipped the ball over Miller and into the top right corner of the net.

In the 77th minute, S2 managed to tie the score at 1-1 on a goal by Nana-Sinkam. From just outside the right corner of the area, midfielder Zach Mathers delivered a pass directly in front of goal, where Nana-Sinkam found space and struck a header from close range for his second goal of the season.

The Rave Green took a 2-1 lead when Charles Renken's long cross from the right side of the pitch connected with Olsen. In his team debut, Renken, who signed with S2 on Friday, sent a dangerous ball to Olsen, who leapt over a Republic FC defender and placed a header into the left side of the net.

S2 was unable to hold on to the lead, though, as Sacramento's Trickett-Smith slipped a shot past Miller in the closing moments of the match. The club returns to action next Saturday at home against LA Galaxy II. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m PT.
MATCH SUMMARY
Seattle Sounders FC 2 |2 - 2| Sacramento Republic FC
