Kelvin Leerdam 2017 vs. D.C. United 2018-06-04

The Seattle Sounders are hosting D.C. United on Saturday in their first and only meeting of the regular season. Here is everything you need to know:

WHEN AND WHERE: Kickoff is at CenturyLink Field at 7 p.m. PT.

HOW TO WATCH: The game will be televised on JOEtv, YouTube TV and in Spanish on Univision-Seattle.

HOW TO LISTEN: The game will air on 950 KJR AM and in Spanish on El Rey 1360 AM.

2018 RECORDS AND STANDINGS: Sounders: 2-7-2 (8 points, 11th West), D.C.: 2-5-3 (9 points, 11th East).

ALL-TIME HISTORY: The Sounders are 8-2-2 all time against D.C. United, including a 4-1-1 record at home.

UNBEATEN IN SEVEN: Seattle has not lost to D.C. United in its last seven matches (6-0-1) dating back to 2011, including five wins in a row.

BRUIN, RODRÍGUEZ RETURN: Forward Will Bruin and midfielder Víctor Rodríguez each returned to the lineup last weekend at Real Salt Lake. Bruin started after missing the previous two matches with a partially torn plantar fascia, while Rodríguez made his 2018 debut after being sidelined with a knee sprain to begin the year.

DEFENSIVE PROWESS: Despite offensive struggles, Seattle has only allowed 14 goals in 11 matches, which is tied for the second-fewest in MLS.

FISHER COMES BACK TO CENTURYLINK: Former Sounders defender Oniel Fisher will make his first visit to CenturyLink Field since being traded to D.C. United prior to the 2018 season. Fisher made 27 appearances with Seattle from 2015-17 and helped the Sounders win MLS Cup 2016. He’s logged 438 minutes in seven appearances with D.C. so far this season.

ARRIOLA SHIFTS INSIDE: Since May 12, D.C. Head Coach Ben Olsen has shifted winger Paul Arriola inside to take over as a box-to-box No. 8, altering the structure of D.C.’s attack. The 23-year-old United States international has boded well centrally and appears to have solidified his role there for the time being.

ON THE ROAD: While its new stadium is built, D.C. United has spent eight of its first 10 matches this year on the road. The team has four more consecutive away matches, starting with Seattle on Saturday, before hosting the inaugural match at Audi Field on July 14.
