The Seattle Sounders are taking on Chicago Fire FC on Sunday in the 2020 MLS regular season home opener (12:00 p.m. PT; ESPN, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM). Here is the Delta Starting XI:
Notes:
- Head Coach Brian Schmetzer makes several changes to the lineup that faced C.D. Olimpia in the Concacaf Champions League on Thursday evening. Two starters from that match – Jordan Morris and Nouhou – are replaced by Danny Leyva and Miguel Ibarra, who makes his first start for the Sounders.
- Joevin Jones moves to left back after starting on the wing in the first two matches, while Cristian Roldan moves out of the middle to the right midfield.
- New center back Yeimar Gómez Andrade makes the bench and is available selection, having completed his U.S. visa process.
- Gustav Svensson (calf strain), Nicolás Lodeiro (hamstring tendinitis) and Will Bruin (ACL tear) are all unavailable through injury.
