- Goalkeeper Stefan Frei is out with a hip flexor strain. Backup Tyler Miller makes his first start and appearance of the 2017 regular season. This is the second MLS match of the third-year goalkeeper’s career.


- New signing Kelvin Leerdam is eligible to play and starts on the bench.


- Chad Marshall returns to the starting lineup after spraining his left ankle against Colorado on July 4.


- Aaron Kovar makes his first start of the season and 13th of his career.


- Clint Dempsey (USA), Jordan Morris (USA) and Oniel Fisher (Jamaica) are all away on international duty for the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
