The Seattle Sounders have risen to No. 3 in the final MLS Power Rankings of the 2018 regular season. Seattle defeated the San Jose Earthquakes 2-1 to capture its fifth win in a row, secure the No. 2 seed in the Audi 2018 MLS Cup Playoffs and a Knockout Round bye.
Raúl RuidÃaz struck in the 79th minute and then again in the third minute of stoppage time to erase a Chad Marshall own goal and send the Sounders into the postseason having completed the best half season in MLS history (14-2-1).
Seattle will visit one of LAFC, FC Dallas or the Portland Timbers in the first leg of the Western Conference Semifinals on Nov. 4 before returning to CenturyLink Field for Leg 2 at 7:30 p.m. PT on Nov. 8 (TICKETS).
