Seattle Sounders remain No. 1 in MLSsoccer.com's weekly Power Rankings

The Seattle Sounders are still on top.

After the first round of the 2020 MLS regular season, the Rave Green remain in the No. 1 spot in MLSsoccer.com’s weekly Power Rankings.

Following the club’s The Champs Return pre-match activations, the team took the pitch and collected a 2-1 win over Chicago Fire FC, with Homegrown winger Jordan Morrisbagging a brace as a second-half substitute. The Mercer Island native was named to the Team of the Week and was voted Player of the Week for his match-winning display.

“The Jordan Morris and Cristian Roldan show showed up in Week 1, powering a come-from-behind win over Chicago at home,” wrote MLSsoccer.com contributor Jonathon Sigal. “It was a solid rebound from the Concacaf Champions League Round of 16 exit against Olimpia last week, all without influential midfielders Nicolás Lodeiro and Gustav Svensson.”

The Rave Green return to the fray on Saturday as they host Caleb Porter and the re-tooled Columbus Crew SC at CenturyLink Field (7:00 p.m. PT; JOEtv, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM | TICKETS).
