The Seattle University to Sounders FC pipeline keeps churning out prospects.
On Monday afternoon, the Seattle Sounders selected midfielder Julian Avila-Good with the 78th overall pick of the 2020 MLS SuperDraft. Avila-Good, 21, spent four seasons with the Redhawks, starting over 65 matches for the Western Athletic Conference powerhouse.
A defensive-minded central midfielder, Avila-Good is capable of contributing to the attack, with four goals and nine assists across four seasons with Seattle University. He earned All-WAC First Team and United Soccer Coaches All-Region Second Team honors as a senior.
Avila-Good is the third Seattle University player drafted by the Sounders in the last four years, joining Alex Roldan and Kyle Bjornethun.
