Nicolás Lodeiro has been with the Seattle Sounders for less than a week, but he's already making waves across Major League Soccer.
The Uruguayan national team midfielder made his Sounders debut in Sunday's 1-1 draw versus the LA Galaxy at CenturyLink Field, racking up 124 touches, good for the fourth-highest by any player in an MLS match this season across the league.
Lodeiro's impact was immediately felt, with the Sounders registering 18 shots on the day and tallying up 520 passes throughout the match. After logging a complete performance, Lodeiro has earned himself a spot on the MLS Team of the Week.
Lodeiro and his teammates return to training this week before traveling to Orlando to meet the Lions at Camping World Stadium in Florida on Sunday (4 p.m. PT; FS1; KIRO Radio 97.3 FM, El Rey 1360am).
