Seattle Sounders midfielder Cristian Roldan started and played the full 90 minutes for the United States in a 3-0 friendly win over Panama on Sunday at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz.
Roldan earned his sixth cap and was effective all over the pitch. He finished with 93 percent passing (57 of 61), eight recoveries and two interceptions.
Djordje Mihailovic opened the scoring in the 40th minute before Walker Zimmerman headed home in the 80th minute to double the advantage. Christian Ramirez added a third one minute before full time. The U.S. will host Costa Rica on Saturday, Feb. 2, at Avaya Stadium in San Jose, Calif. (12:30 p.m. PT; Fox).
