The annual list of best-selling jerseys among MLS players was released on Friday morning, and, unsurprisingly, there is a major Rave Green influence. The Sounders have six players included on the 25-man list — the most of any club in MLS. Forwards Jordan Morris (No. 4) and Clint Dempsey (No. 6), along with midfielder Nicolás Lodeiro (No. 10) each secured a spot in the top 10, while captain Osvaldo Alonso (No. 11) and defender Román Torres (No. 20) landed in the top 20. Midfielder Cristian Roldan slid into the No. 22 spot to round out the club's contributions.
Dempsey led the league in jersey sales in 2014 and ’15 before finishing second in ’16 to NYCFC's Andrea Pirlo. Morris, meanwhile, retains his position from last year in the fourth slot. Alonso is in the top 20 for the second consecutive year after finishing No. 18 in 2016, while defender Brad Evans, who was No. 17 last season, has been replaced by Lodeiro and Torres. Roldan’s inclusion is available because of this season's expansion from 20 to 25 players.
