The Seattle Sounders are in Los Angeles where they go to battle with the LA Galaxy (4 p.m. PT; FS1, YouTube TV, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM) at StubHub Center. Here is the Delta Starting XI:
NOTES:
- With Harry Shipp out today with a right hamstring strain and wanting to manage VÃctor RodrÃguez’s minutes, Head Coach Brian Schmetzer is moving to a 4-4-2 formation, with forwards Will Bruin and Raúl RuidÃaz starting together up front. After just returning from injury and starting in Wednesday’s match versus Philadelphia, RodrÃguez rotates back to the bench today, while Shipp did not make the trip due to his injury.
- Chad Marshall also remained in Seattle due to a head injury suffered in the midweek match versus Philadelphia. As a result, Román Torres gets the nod in central defense, marking his first start since July 25 at San Jose. Marshall is not in concussion protocol at this time, and is continuing to be evaluated by Seattle’s medical staff.
- Handwalla Bwana is part of the First Team 18-man lineup for the first time since May 26 vs. Real Salt Lake. Bwana has missed time this season due to a midfoot sprain.
