Jordan Morris’ ankle “feels great” and has ”no issues” as he prepares for season opener against the Houston Dynamo

Jordan Morris is good to go.

A week after a slight ankle sprain during practice in Charleston, S.C., the Seattle Sounders’ second-year forward said he is ready for the season opener on the road against the Houston Dynamo on Saturday (5:30 p.m. PT; Q13 FOX, KIRO Radio 97.3 FM, El Rey 1360AM). He traveled with the team to Houston on Thursday.

“[My ankle] feels great,” Morris said. “No issues with it.”

Morris missed the final Carolina Cup Challenge match against Columbus Crew SC last Saturday and had ended training early this past week. As the 2017 campaign begins, Morris is looking to build off his 2016 MLS Rookie of the Year performance in which he scored 12 goals and added four assists in 34 regular-season matches.
