- Forward Jordan Morris is out with a sprained ankle he suffered in practice this week. The injury is not expected to be serious or long-term.
- Goalkeeper Stefan Frei makes his first appearance in preseason after recovering from an ankle injury he suffered in January while in United States national team camp.
- Osvaldo Alonso returns to the starting lineup after making his preseason debut as a halftime substitute against Atlanta United on Wednesday. He has spent the offseason recovering from a knee injury.
- Clint Dempsey makes his fourth start in five preseason matches. He went 30, 45 and 60 minutes, respectively, in his first three matches before coming on as a second-half substitute on Wednesday.
- Gustav Svensson returns to the lineup after missing some time while receiving his P1 visa. A defensive midfielder by trade, he will start at right back on Saturday.
