Major League Soccer on Monday named Seattle Sounders goalkeeper Stefan Frei and defender Brad Smith to the Week 12 Team of the Week bench for their performances in a 2-1 win against Orlando City SC and a scoreless draw against the Philadelphia Union on Saturday.
Smith registered an assist on a slick pass to Raúl RuidÃaz on Wednesday, while Frei recorded a win on Wednesday and then a shutout to go with six saves on Saturday.
The Sounders continue the road swing with a visit to Sporting Kansas City on Sunday (3 p.m. PT; FS1, YouTube TV, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM).
