Ahead of the inaugural week of the 2019 season, MLSSoccer.com has ranked the Seattle Sounders No. 5 in its weekly Power Rankings.
Seattle finished the 2018 season as the No. 2 team in the West before bowing out on penalty kicks to the Portland Timbers in the Western Conference Semifinals. The Sounders begin 2019 as the third-highest team in the West, behind only Sporting Kansas City (No. 3) and LAFC (No. 4).
The Sounders kick off the regular season against expansion side FC Cincinnati at CenturyLink Field on Saturday, March 2 (7 p.m. PT; FS1 | TICKETS).
