The Seattle Sounders will square off against a familiar face on Saturday when they open the 2017 MLS regular season against the Houston Dynamo (5:30 p.m. PT; Q13 FOX, KIRO Radio 97.3FM, El Rey 1360AM).
The Dynamo selected former Sounders defender Dylan Remick in Stage One of the 2016 MLS Re-Entry Draft this past offseason, and he will immediately get the chance to play his former club with whom he spent his first four professional seasons.
“I don’t know if it is going to sink in until I see my former teammates,” Remick toldThe Houston Chronicle. “It is going to be weird and cool and a special game and situation for me.”
Remick played in 11 matches last season on Seattle’s MLS Cup-winning team and totaled 44 appearances since 2013.
