SEATTLE, WASH. – Sounders FC 2 today announced that forward Myron Samuel completed successful surgery after breaking his foot against Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on August 19. Samuel began rehabilitation immediately following the procedure, which was performed at Virginia Mason Medical Center.
Samuel scored twice and added an assist in his debut for S2, helping the Rave Green to a 3-2 victory over the Switchbacks at Starfire Stadium. He appeared as a second-half substitute for Pablo Rossi, making his professional debut after signing with the club on August 18. Samuel also plays for the St. Vincent National Team with fellow S2 striker Oalex Anderson.
S2 next faces Austin Aztex for the final game in a three-match road swing before concluding the 2015 USL regular season with two matches at home. Kickoff for Saturday’s match is set for 5:30 p.m. PT from the Reeves Athletic Complex in Austin, Texas (live-streamed on SoundersFC.com).
