The historic Copa América Centenario is just weeks away and on Wednesday, FOX Sports announced its coverage plans for the tournament, which is being hosted in the United States for the first time in its 100 year history.
FOX will televise all 32 matches of the tournament, taking place at 10 U.S. venues from June 3 to June 26. FS1 is scheduled to carry 21 matches, with four airing on the FOX broadcast network, two quarterfinal matches and the third-place match on FX, and four group-stage games appearing on FS2. Every game is available on the FOX Sports GO and FOX Soccer 2Go mobile apps, and on desktop computers via FOXSportsGO.com.
To commemorate the 100th anniversary, the South American Football Confenderation (CONMEBOL) is unveiling a new trophy on Thursday which will be awarded to this year's winner, along with the original Copa America trophy.
CenturyLink Field will host two games during the group stage and one in the quarterfinals. Haiti will take on Peru in Group B on June 4 (4:30 p.m. PT) and Argentina will face Bolivia in Group D on June 14 (7 p.m. PT) before Seattle hosts a crucial quarterfinal game between the winner of Group A and the runner-up in Group B on June 16 (6:30 p.m. PT).
There is a chance the U.S. national team could appear in that quarterfinal match if they’re able to win Group A, which also consists of Colombia, Costa Rica and Paraguay. Group B consists of Brazil, Ecuador, Haiti and Peru.
Tickets for the historic tournament are now on sale and suites at CenturyLink Field are also available.
