COLORADO KICKSTARTER: The Sounders’ win at Colorado last summer began a stretch of six wins in seven games and fell in the middle of their 13-match unbeaten streak. On Wednesday, the Sounders won 2-1 at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.
BRUIN'S BRACE: Forward Will Bruin scored both goals in Seattle's 2-1 victory against the Rapids on the Fourth of July. Bruin now has five goals and four assists in 2018.
FREI RETURNS: After missing the Portland match on June 30 due to a concussion, goalkeeper Stefan Frei returned to action against the Rapids after passing concussion protocol. In the final minutes of the match, Frei made a massive save to preserve the lead.
DEUCE RECORD WATCH: Forward Clint Dempsey enters Saturday's match tied with Fredy Montero for the Sounders’ all-time MLS regular-season goalscoring record with 47.
NOUHOU RETURNS: Sounders left back Nouhou picked up his fifth yellow card of the season against Portland and was suspended against Colorado because of yellow-card accumulation. He'll be eligible for New England.

BRING ON BUNBURY: Winger Teal Bunbury has been New England's top scoring threat this season, scoring a career-high 10 goals in 17 appearances. The 28-year-old Akron product, and former college teammate of Steve Zakuani, is having the best season of his career.
