Major League Soccer has named Seattle Sounders midfielder Cristian Roldan to its Week 20 Team of the Week for his performances in two wins against D.C. United and the San Jose Earthquakes.
Roldan scored the game-winner in a thrilling come-from-behind win over D.C. midweek before recording a brace in two minutes against the Earthquakes to complete Seattle’s six-point week. This is Roldan’s second appearance in the Team of the Week after joining Gustav Svensson in Week 5.
MLS also named Kelvin Leerdam, who made his first start since signing with the club earlier this month, to the bench. He was instrumental as a substitute in his debut against D.C. and scored his first Sounders goal against San Jose.
