Fresh off earning his first international cap with the United States, Seattle Sounders midfielder Cristian Roldan has been recognized by MLS as the seventh-best young player in the league this season.
Roldan, 22, is flourishing in his third professional season and is getting better by the day in his central midfield partnership with veteran Osvaldo Alonso. Before going away with the national team, Roldan had started 43 consecutive matches dating back to last season and had played every single minute for the Sounders this season.
Roldan returned to Seattle following the group stage of the CONCACAF Gold Cup and will be a vital contributor in the second half of the MLS season.
