Major League Soccer names Seattle Sounders defender Chad Marshall to Week 24 Team of the Week

Major League Soccer has named Seattle Sounders defender Chad Marshall to its Week 24 Team of the Week for his efforts in the Sounders’ 2-1 win over Minnesota United on Sunday.


Marshall answered an Ethan Finlay goal with a first-half tally of his own, a close-range header for his first tally of the 2017 season. Marshall also helped keep a surprisingly potent Loons attack off the score sheet in the second half to help secure all three points.

This is Marshall’s second consecutive Team of the Week nod and third of the season (Week 13).
