The future stars of Major League Soccer will be on display at the the 2019 adidas MLS Player Combine and the 2019 MLS SuperDraft presented by adidas just after the turn of the new year.
For a second straight year, the Combine will be held at Orlando City Stadium from Jan. 3-9 as coaches and technical directors from across the league will watch some of the top young talent eligible for selection.
The scene then shifts to Chicago’s McCormick Place for the SuperDraft on Jan. 11. Expansion side FC Cincinnati will have the first overall selection of a draft that is again part of the United Soccer Coaches Convention.
In addition, MLS will also conduct the 2018 MLS Caribbean Combine, a partnership between MLS and Concacaf that serves as a pathway for the region’s top players under the age of 24. This year’s Combine will take place in Kingston, Jamaica from Oct. 15-18 and then Bridgetown, Barbados from Oct. 22-25.
Through an expanded format, this scouting opportunity will feature 40 players from up to 30 countries, with 20 players participating in Kingston and Bridgetown. The most highly touted prospects will be named MLS Caribbean Combine Most Valuable Players and will earn invitations to the adidas MLS adidas Player Combine in Orlando.
Coaching the prospects will be former MLS Caribbean standouts Stern John, Andy Williams, Wolde Harris and Shavar Thomas.
