For the second year running, MLS legend Landon Donovan will coach the home team in the Chipotle MLS Homegrown Game during All-Star Week and on Tuesday afternoon he'll reveal the squad of young MLS talent he'll lead into battle against the Mexico Under-20 national team on July 27 in San Jose.
Fans can watch Donovan announce his Homegrown selections by joining the MLS and US national team legend for a Facebook Live session at 12:30 p.m. PT on Tuesday on MLS's Facebook page. LD will explain what each player brings to the squad, and may shed a bit of light on how he plans to defeat Mexico's U-20s, a talented team which wears the crown of reigning CONCACAF U-20 champions.
Chipotle MLS Homegrown Game
The Chipotle MLS Homegrown Game takes place at 6 p.m. PT on Wednesday, July 27 at Avaya Stadium in San Jose, California, one day before the 2016 AT&T MLS All-Star Game against English Premier League heavyweights Arsenal FC.
Debuting in 2014, the Chipotle MLS Homegrown Game features the best Homegrown players from across MLS. The MLS Homegrown program fosters the development of young players from each club's academy system.
