LA Galaxy playmaker Giovani dos Santos expects to be available for Sunday’s match at StubHub Center against the Seattle Sounders (1 p.m. PT; ESPN, 107.7 The End, El Rey 1360AM).
Dos Santos has been battling hip flexor tightness, which caused him to miss LA’s draw with Sporting Kansas City last week, although he has trained fully with the team leading up to Sunday’s fixture.
“I feel very good,” dos Santos told reporters on Friday. “I don’t feel any pain and I feel 100 percent, so I’m ready to go on Sunday. It’s a very important game for us. It’ll be against a great team in Seattle and we’re a few points behind Dallas, so everyone knows what is at stake on Sunday. Hopefully we get the three points.”
The Mexican international has had a monster year for the Galaxy, scoring 14 goals and recording 11 assists in just 25 matches. He has one goal and two assists in four games against Seattle since joining the Galaxy midway through last season.
