Can’t get enough Jordan Morris content? If so, then you won’t want to miss his appearance on The Call Up, a podcast hosted by MLSsoccer.com’s Jillian Sakovits and Susannah Collins.
Following his 100th MLS appearance for his hometown club, Morris, who put in a dominant performance in Seattle’s 3-0 win over Vancouver, joined Sakovits and Collins on the pod to discuss life in the bubble and the team’s relentless mentality.
Asked about the team’s slow start at the MLS is Back Tournament, Morris spoke about the team’s history of remarkable turnarounds, noting that it would be a bit simpler if the team had come flying out of the gates.
“It would definitely be less stressful if we could figure it out early on,” quipped Morris. “I think it’s kind of been our M.O. a bit. We have experience, that’s a big thing when we come into big games. We have guys that have played in them before and don’t get overwhelmed by the moment.”
Morris also discussed his journey back from the ACL injury that kept him out for the entire 2018 season, returning to action after the four-month layoff due to COVID-19, and the team’s ambitions in Orlando, Fla.
In typical sports podcast fashion, Morris also weighed in on the debate over the best Sounders team since he joined the club in 2016.
