Over the past few years, Seattle Sounders stars Jordan Morris and Cristian Roldan have fallen in love with golf.
Two regular fixtures with the Rave Green and United States Men’s National Team, Morris and Roldan first began taking up golf as a serious hobby during the pandemic.
Dylan Dethier of Golf.com penned a fantastic feature on Monday detailing his experience hitting the links with the Sounders duo at the iconic Chambers Bay Golf Course. The pieces goes in-depth on their professional soccer careers, affinity for golf, and love for Seattle.
“Seattle has given me an opportunity that I don’t think I would have gotten anywhere else,” Roldan told Dethier.
Morris also reflected on his deep connection to his hometown. The Mercer Island native spotlighted Seattle’s inaugural MLS match as a pivotal moment along his professional soccer journey.
“I remember going to that first game when the Sounders became an MLS team and telling myself I really wanted to be on that field playing someday, he told Dethier.”
