The latest episode of Winging it with Zak and Brad is here!
On this week’s installment, Sounders legends Steve Zakuani and Brad Evans are joined by Homegrown winger Jordan Morris and FOX broadcaster Stu Holden.
With pro sports on pause for the moment, Morris hopped on the pod to discuss all things soccer, including how the team is staying fit during the training moratorium. This led to an incredible anecdote about assistant coach Djimi Traore ribbing Nouhou for missing an opportunity to score in the 2019 Western Conference Final. According to Morris, Nouhou promptly left the ZOOM chat after getting roasted by the squad.
Following Morris’ interview, Brad and Zak were joined by Holden, who starred with the U.S. Men’s National Team and Bolton Wanderers of the EPL before his career was derailed by injury. Forced into retirement at an early age, he revamped his career as he moved into broadcasting, working his way up through the ranks at FOX Sports.
“You get a unique opportunity to communicate the sport that we played forever,” Holden remarked about broadcasting. “Not just the insights we have, but to do it in a way that’s honest.”
