Seattle Sounders defender Jackson Ragen has been named to the MLS Team of the Matchday following his stellar performance in the 2-0 win over St. Louis CITY SC on Matchday 38.
Ragen, 25, was instrumental in posting a shutout against a St. Louis side that boasts the third-most potent attack in the league (62 goals scored) on the road on Decision Day. The towering defender put on a passing clinic on Saturday night as he completed 43 of his 45 passes, including 11 of 12 long pass attempts and two completed passes into the final third. Ragen also notched three tackles, one interception and seven recoveries as the Rave Green climbed into the No. 2 seed in the West with the win ahead of the Audi 2023 MLS Cup Playoffs.
The Sounders begin their quest for a third MLS Cup title on October 30 as they host FC Dallas in the home leg of Round One of the MLS Cup Playoffs. Tickets are on sale HERE.
