Sounders FC has many cultures represented on the field and in the stands. Sunday's event will celebrate those cultures at CenturyLink Field.
Soccer teams have a tendency to be distinctly diverse, with players and coaches from a vast array of cultural backgrounds united by the one common language of the sport.
In celebration of that diversity in the locker room and in the stands, Sounders FC is hosting the International Family Festival on Sunday at CenturyLink Field, bringing together fans, players and coaches to honor their heritage and culture with various displays, arts and crafts, music and other activities for children of all ages.
Will Bates, Servando Carrasco, David Estrada, Michael Gspurning, Philip Lund and Lamar Neagle will all be on hand and fans will have the opportunity to interact with them. The festival will also feature a behind-the-scenes tour of the Sounders FC locker room.
Registration for the two-hour sessions is $10 with no charge for children under age four.
