A familiar face to Seattle Sounders fans showed up in the crowd at S2's win over Portland Timbers 2 on Monday.
Former Sounders forward Obafemi Martins made a surprise appearance at Starfire Stadium with current Sounders Tyrone Mears and Darwin Jones while away from duty with Shanghai Shenhua in China. Martins, who was sold to Shenhua in February, is currently in town visiting family in Seattle before Shenhua returns from the international break on Sept. 11.
Martins scored 40 goals in 72 matches for the Sounders from 2013-15.
