COLORADO KICKSTARTER: The Sounders’ win at Colorado last summer began a stretch of six wins in seven games and fell in the middle of their 13-match unbeaten streak.
DICK’S SPORTING GOODS SUCCESS: Seattle has won four of its last five matches in all competitions at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, including the 2016 Western Conference Championship that won the club’s first Western Conference title and booked its first trip to MLS Cup.
DEMPSEY STUNNER: Dempsey scored one of the goals of the Sounders’ season last year with a tremendous left-footed volley that ducked past longtime United States national team teammate Tim Howard.

NOUHOU SUSPENDED: Sounders left back Nouhou picked up his fifth yellow card of the season last weekend and will be subsequently suspended one match because of yellow-card accumulation.
FREI QUESTIONABLE: After missing last Saturday’s match against the Portland Timbers while going through concussion protocol, there is no word yet as to whether Seattle goalkeeper Stefan Frei will be available for Wednesday’s match in Colorado or this weekend’s match in New England against the Revolution. Frei was injured on the final play of the Sounders’ home match against the Chicago Fire when he collided with Alan Gordon.

RODRÍGUEZ ON THE BOARD: After missing the first third of the season recovering from a knee injury, Spanish winger Víctor Rodríguez is back and rounding into form. He started his fourth consecutive match last weekend and notched his first goal of the year.
RAPIDS IN RHYTHM: Colorado is unbeaten in its last three matches (2-0-1) after losing eight matches in a row from April 21 to June 9.
HOWARD ON HIS HEAD: Howard made 10 saves in a 1-0 win at the Vancouver Whitecaps on Sunday to help the Rapids keep their first clean sheet since April 14.
DANGEROUS DOMINIQUE: The Rapids are led by forward Dominique Badji, who has a team-high six goals on the season. Badji scored Colorado’s lone goal in two matches last year against the Sounders, but he missed the Rapids’ previous game against Vancouver due to an undisclosed injury.
