Seattle Sounders center back Roman Torres is a game-time decision for Sunday's Western Conference Semifinals match against FC Dallas, interim head coach Brian Schmetzer said on Saturday.
Torres is dealing with a tight hamstring and did not train on Saturday. Schmetzer said there was no reason to risk it on a cold day.
"They're all day-of-game decisions," Schmetzer said. "We're going to get every healthy body out on the field."
Torres has been fantastic since he returned in late August after missing nearly a year while recovering from a torn ACL. He's anchored a defense that has only allowed seven goals in its last nine matches and has recorded four shutouts, including Seattle's 1-0 Western Conference Knockout Round win over Sporting Kansas City on Thursday.
Schmetzer also said that captain Brad Evans was "getting better" but that he is still not 100 percent. Midfielder Andreas Ivanschitz (knee sprain) has already been ruled out for Sunday's first leg.
