With the final regular-season match upon us, Sounders FC captain Brad Evans has just one message for the supporters. Read his latest edition of Captain's Notes now.
There are many themes this week: fans, playoffs, knockout game. Lots going on this Sunday for us.
First and foremost, we need to address where we're at. Every week I say we're battling for our lives and this week, it's no different. This is it. This is a crazy situation to be in. It's one that we're not used to and obviously, MLS has set it up so it's exciting. It's a first for Decision Day and guys are excited. It's cool. With Kansas City's loss, if things go right, we can win and go all the way up to second place. We could find ourselves outside the playoffs.
We know our goal. It's our mantra this week. We've been a good team at home this year and there's no reason why that should change. Guys are ready and guys are up for it. We are excited to get to do this in front of over 50,000 of you, our supporters. We just can't say enough how appreciative we are of your support through thick and thin, good and bad, wins and losses. Whatever it is, you always come out in droves each season and we're breaking records yet again this season.
It's going to be crazy. We're expecting a massive crowd. You guys continue to bring it. We can say it a million times and you guys have heard it before, but just know that it truly resonates with the team. Even when we're on the road, we know you are watching on TV or in the stands. That means a tremendous amount to us.
We can't say enough thank yous. We love you guys.
Let's get this thing together on Sunday and make a run at this, alright? Let's go, Sounders!
