The UPS Store and the Sounders FC will be collecting books for the Toys for Tots program prior to Saturday's match against the Vancouver Whitecaps FC.
Earlier this spring, the UPS Store network announced that it had raised over $2 million since the program began in 2008. On Saturday at CenturyLink Field, the UPS Store and the Sounders FC will team up to elevate that fundraising total with a book drive in support of the Toys for Tots Literacy Program.
Representatives from Marine Toys for Tots Foundation and The UPS Store will be stationed at all of the entrances to the stadium prior to the Sounders FC’s match with the Vancouver Whitecaps FC collecting books and monetary donations, 100-percent of which will benefit economically disadvantaged children in the greater Seattle area.
Sounders FC fans are encouraged to bring new books or make monetary donations for youth ranging from pre-school-aged all the way through high school to the match.
