Big Ten Conference names Seattle Sounders Academy alum, Indiana goalkeeper Trey Muse Goalkeeper of the Year

The Big Ten Conference on Friday announced that Seattle Sounders Academy alum and Indiana goalkeeper Trey Muse was unanimously named 2018 Goalkeeper of the Year, the first Hoosier in program history to do so. Muse, a sophomore, was also a unanimous selection on the All-Big Ten First Team.

Muse helped lead No. 2 Indiana to a perfect 8-0 conference record and 15-2 overall. He led the league with a 0.54 Goals Against Average and eight shutouts, only allowing nine goals total and three during conference play. He was also second in the conference with an 80.4 percent save percentage.


Muse, who is originally from Louisville, Ky., attended Roosevelt High School in Seattle and made 32 starts for the Sounders Academy over two seasons.
